Family Tytonidae – Barn-Owls
There are about 200 species of owls, mostly solitary and nocturnal birds of prey. They are found in all regions of the earth except Antarctica and some remote islands. There are two genera with about 18 species in the Family Tytonidae and 26 genera in the Family Strigidae.
